Davidoff Cigarettes Essentials Limited Edition - the Code Concept

BNW created the Davidoff Cigarettes Essentials Limited Edition, recognizing the global trend for limited editions and customization, primarily driven by a widespread feeling that society has become so depersonalized. Two distinctive collections were created: SENSE and SENSITIVITY. The Davidoff Cigarettes Essentials Limited Edition "Sensitivity" reflects our premium materials and effects through new created cigarettes brands: Carbon, Black Crystal, Cut, Future, Urushi, Bespoke, Bullion, Glow, 3D, Code, Kaleidoscope and Reflections.

BNW achieved this unique pack appearance by layering print techniques. The pack resembles topographic isohypses, gently curving around one's grip at the pack. The touch and feel is soft and elastic, a minimal “configuration” embossed effect, still produced in cardboard with folding properties, while totally flat on the inside.

Our pack design resembled rapid prototyping artifacts, which is all the rage in the high-end of design. All our communication are centred around inviting and engaging our cosmopolitan target audience to take part in various proposals to try and test their own creativity. We offered them competitions and entry to rapid prototyping experiences under the CODE motto. The exploration of CODE territory was an exploration of one’s own style and creative territory, with a lot of fun and appeal.
